Christmas Day Marks 6 Months Since Mom Died
Posted on Nov 26, 2018
Watching loved ones grieve is hard, especially when it’s your kids.
Kevin Duroy experienced the loss of his mother to cervical cancer when he was a boy, and now finds himself a single dad after his wife, Trish, died in June 2018. Read their full story in the Statesman Season for Caring.
Christmas will be 6 months to the day since Jayme and Leyton lost their mom to cervical cancer. Jayme is 12 and Leyton is 9 years old. The trio is living in a recreational vehicle on their grandparent’s land until Kevin can buy land and build a home.
“We want to get us a place that’s our own and get things back to as normal as they can be,” Kevin says.
You can brighten their spirits and their future through the 2018 Season for Caring campaign. Their wishlist is also posted.
