Season 5, Episode #13 (revisited) – Kidspeak
Guest Hosts: Danielle Coleman, MS, CCLS
Summary:
As we prepare for the launch of season six on July 15th, we revisit a favorite episode from season two. Kids are out of school for the summer which grants abundant opportunities to see the world through their point of view. Kids have the most magical ability to see the world around them. In fact, for many of us in the profession of supporting children, how a child speaks can become our favorite part of the day. As a parent though, kidspeak can complicate things a little when you are having critical conversations surrounding illness and need to ensure that your children are able to understand the important parts of your message. Today we are joined by Child Life Specialist, Danielle Coleman as we talk though kidspeak and the tools available for parents in their home environment.
